Part 171: Quality Metrics

• A Quality Metric is a specific product/project attribute that must comply with a quality measure
• For example, if we are manufacturing bottled water, no bottle of water may contain more than one gram of lead.  This metric applies to each product leaving the factory.
• Or, if we are manufacturing bottled water, we could say that no more than 10% of bottles can test positive for lead.  And at least 98% of our bottled water deliveries should be on time.  This metric applies to the process.
