Part 192: Schedule Forecasts
(OUTPUT Project Schedule Management: Control Schedule)

• A Schedule Forecast is a prediction of events in the project’s future
• As we execute the project, we continue to obtain more information
• We use the project’s past performance to predict future performance and update the Forecast
• We also update the Forecast based the expected effect of corrective and preventative action
• Derived from the Computed Time Estimate to Complete (ETC)
• Express as Schedule Variance (SV) or Schedule Performance Index (SPI)
• Use the forecast to determine if the project is within tolerance ranges/identify change requests
