- Rolling Wave Planning is an iterative planning technique
- Work that is near term is planned in detail, and future work is planned at a high level
- Planning is done in waves
- Each time the schedule progresses, we receive another “wave” of high-level future work, which we plan in greater detail
- The closer we are to starting the work, the more detailed its plans are
- Considered PROGRESSIVE ELABORATION
